# Scholarships

Scholarship systems represent a great growth opportunity for projects with these characteristics, as they not only attract a larger number of players, but also a larger number of investors. One of the problems with scholarship systems today is that they generate inflation and are mainly extractive. To make a simile with what would be a real-world economy and, following our line regarding the design of the internal economy, we could say that scholars represent a variable wage workforce, i.e. a salary that depends on their performance.

### How do we intend to control both inflation and extractivism?

First let's recap on how active non-scholarship players who complete their weekly quests are rewarded:

\- Base Reward: DoD reward for completing quests

\- PVP Reward: DoD reward for victory according to their ranking

\- Bonus Reward: A pool of DoD rewards to be distributed to active players that comes from users staking cards and burning shards/cards during the period.
